Affinity Groups
We already have a number of Affinity Groups that are up and running, and more to follow. We will see the first products of these groups on the EFF website, after it goes live in April. Gisela Dütting is coordinating the development of the Affinity Groups and is being assisted by our intern Joanna Semeniuk, from Poland.
Website
Our web designers are nearing completion of their task and in April the new European Feminist Forum website will be up and running. The website will be interactive: you the participants will be uploading information (films, podcasts, papers) via Affinity Groups, and through online discussion forums. When we go live, make sure you link your website to ours (we will add you to the Websites on Women database available on the European Feminist Forum site, in return).
General Coordinator
Chantal van den Berg, a European activist and legal advocate, has taken on the challenge of coordinating our whole activity. She will look forward to working with many volunteers and interns. At present we have several, from all over Europe, who are already volunteering or who will join us soon.
Volunteers and interns
If you would like to volunteer or be an intern, contact Chantal. You can imagine there is no end to the activities that can be done by interns and volunteers. We offer a tremendous learning opportunity and a tremendous serving opportunity. You can volunteer for 3 months or more, for a day a week or 5 days a week, from your own country or here in Amsterdam at the office. Discuss it with Chantal! eff@iiav.nl
Translators
Obviously, a European endeavour will need to operate in many languages. We want to increase participation of EFF people – and decrease fundraising requirements – by using our natural talents in translating as much as possible. For example, we will regularly publish items on the website, and the Secretariat intends the website to be interesting for French, Spanish, Russian and English speaking people. If you would like to translate INTO these languages from English, please let Chantal know: eff@iiav.nl.
Keep in touch!
