Angella Nestorovska, 26, of the Metamorphosis Foundation, thinks that working in this organization has enriched her a lot. She enjoys bringing her knowledge to other people, so that they too can use ICTs for their development.
She has been working with the Metamorphosis Foundation, which was a centre inside the Open Society Institute Macedonia Foundation, for two years. At the beginning of 2005, Metamorphosis became independent, working to promote the use of ICTs to achieve a better society.
There are now five people (two women and three men) in the Metamorphosis Foundation, which has a track record of attracting new volunteers and partners. Angella thinks team work is of great importance in their organization: "there are no bad ideas for us." She is responsible for the technical administration of several organizations’ websites:
Metamorphosis
Open Society Institiute Macedonia Fondation
www.antikorupcija.org.mk
www.musika.net.mk
She and her colleagues organize various ICT trainings (for example, ICTs and EU integration, web design, etc.) for different target groups, including NGO workers and journalists. At one of the trainings, she met Eleonora Delova from Akcija Zdruzhenska, who introduced her to the Women Information Technology Transfer (WITT) network. "Combining ICTs and gender equality is a very interesting idea. I would like to participate in more trainings within the WITT project", says Angella, who is now taking part in the Training Exchange Event 2005 of WITT, "so that I could transmit knowledge to other Macedonian women." |
